    This UV treated plastic ram air induction scoop forces more air into your Jeep ventilation system to increase interior ventilation up to 60 percent. Installs over factory hood vent without drilling. For maximum air flow, the scoop should be mounted facing the windshield.

    5.0 Rugged Ridge Hood Scoop

    Great little, cheap, and easy install project. I found with the opening facing towards the airflow (opening facing the front bumper) did increase my air flow at speed with the number three setting on the fan in my Jeep. Usually number three is pretty close to one and two and almost not really flowing. Now at speed I notice quite a change in inside air flow.

    Purchased it the other day. Read other reviews how it boosts your heating and a/c. So far it seems to be doing the trick. The scoop adds that aggressive look for dirt cheap.

    The install was quick and easy. The look is not bad at all. This is a quick way to add a "custom" look without the custom price tag.

    Easy install but recommend starting at corners and don't tighten screws down at first to give some play. Also deforms is tightened too much. Backed off 4 center screws and straightened out

    Q: Does it make a difference if faced toward the bumber or toward the widsheld? Heating and Cooling wise? Answer this question

    A: Hello With the opening pointed at the windshield the pressure is higher coming off the glass. You get more air into the scoop with pointing to the windshield. Thanks

    A: Hello Bubba, Since the Rugged Ridge Hood Scoop is made to fit a Jeep, The manufacture does not provide any dimensions.

    A: Hello It is the same size as the stock cowl vent on the 78 up CJ's and the YJ's. It screws into the stock mounting holes for the factory cowl vent.
