Beef up your ride with Rugged Ridge steering components. This is a bolt-on solution for preventing bent tie rods from wheeling with larger tires. The tubes are 1-1/4 inch OD steel that is cold rolled, pierced, and drawn through dies to produce a 1/4 in. wall thickness. This is true DOM tubing with NO seams OR welds to fail. Heavy duty 7/8 inch rod ends feature standard tapered ends to fit stock knuckle applications. You get one ton strength without any modifications to your steering knuckles. Will not work with Right Hand Drive vehicles. Will not work with factory Rubicon wheels or wheels with a flat style face. Not recommended for vehicles with over 4 inch of lift. Not compatible with smaller OEM steel wheels or wheels with deep backspacing. Not recommended for vehicles with under 2 inch of suspension lift.
So I got this from the 4wheel Parts, partly cause one of the guys there is running it on his XJ. Anyways yes its very beefy indeed. The issue I have with this is is that there is a ton of slop in ther steering and it also rolls or twist when you steer side to side. Also its a month or 2 old and the TIE's are already bad. I wish I would have researched more before hand I would have done over the knuckle. Live and learn

I have an 05 Jeep Wrangler X I put a 4.5 lift Rubicon Express long arm wit a tri-link in the rear. Will the tie rod fit my jeep? Also I'm getting a dual steering stabilizer from skyjacker will it all fit together?

The Rugged Ridge heavy duty tie rod kit will come with a bracket to fit a factory replacement steering stabilizer. if you are definitely go with the dual steering stabilizer you will need to make sure that the stabilizer klit comes with u bolts that will fit a 1 1/2 bar. The SKY9240 http://jo.my/yfpxma will come with the correct u bolts.Thank You

in the manufacturer description on the rugged ridge website, it specifies that this should not be used with a lift larger than 4". if i were to have approximately 4.25" on my 2001 jeep Cherokee, would i be able to solve this issue by using a dropped pittman arm? also, it said that this is not recommended for vehicles with less than 2" of lift, and as far as i can tell the only dropped pittman arms i can find are for a 3.5" lift or greater. essentially what i am asking is if i purchase this with a 4.25" lift on my jeep will it work, or will i need to correct things, and if so would a dropped pittman arm work for the correction? thanks

The 1/4" of additional lift is not a concern its the 5-6" lifts were you run into problems with drag link to track bar angle issues and over all length of drag link bar problems. basically you start to run out of adjustment or un safe thread engagement. Thank ou.
