Keep your Jeep warm and quiet with Rugged Ridge?s hardtop acoustic sound deadener/insulation panel. Three-piece construction allows for easy installation. Product does not interfere with factory sound bar.
Headliner looks good and makes conversation an ease while driving. Music sounds better as well

Instructions sudjest a two person install. I did it alone and recomend following instructions. Don't have to turn up radio at highway speeds. More efficent air conditioning cooling. I like it.

Easy installation and works well. Lowers inside noise and tire whine. Also help significantly in minimizing internal temperature. A/C works a lot better now. Looks nice too.

Easy install and decent sound-deadening
I purchased this for a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited to help with the road noise. The factory hardtop does a better job of reducing wind and road noise than the soft-top, but add larger off-road tires, and it's a different story. The installation was a breeze and the fit and finish is great. The panel's ability to reduce noise is very noticeable, which is helpful when trying to have a conversation and no longer having to yell. I haven't had a chance to measure the heating/cooling benefits yet, but the noise reduction alone is well worth the purchase price. It also makes the inside look very different; more finished and less of the sterile and utilitarian look Jeeps have become known for.
Does the top need to be removed to install this insulation kit?

Hello Rhuckster, the Rugged Ridge Hardtop Insulation Kit is much easier to install with the hardtop removed, but it can be installed with the top on the vehicle. Thank you for your question.

I am interested in purchasing Rugged Ridge insulation kit but am concerned about the Velcro adhesive. My Jeep top is black and gets extremely hot when sitting in the sun. I am concerned that the Velcro adhesive will loosen with the high heat and allow the pads to sag or fall. Should I be concerned about this?

Thanks for the inquiry. I have not heard of any complaints about the velcro coming loose on the Rugged Ridge Hardtop Insulation Kit

Thank you for the question. The panels are 1/2" thick.
