This kit is great! The instructions are a little lacking, so it was helpful to have a gear head helping me with the install. Took about 7 hours to install in a shop with a full lift. Must get the Rubicon Express Exhaust Spacer Kit so the Drive Shaft doesn't hit the exhaust. Also, to prevent having to replace the drive shaft, the Teraflex High Angle Rzeppa CV Kit works Great! Looks great with 35" tires. Needs a full alignment after install. Provides really good flex.
2011 rubicon...Why is it "highly recommended" to chang out the drive shafts? what problems will I have if I don't?
Justin from Green Bay, WI on
We have run stock shafts on 5 inch kit's and have not had any problems. In the JK's first came out nobody thought the shafts would hold up to lifts. If you look at a lot of the new axles they are coming with stock flanges to run the stock shafts. We have 4 JK's here with Rubicon Express lifts and ProComp all running Core44's with stock shafts no problems.

Will I need to do any metal trimming on a 15 JK unlimited sport to run 35 12.5 tires? Have an automatic trans what kind of front drive shaft issues should I be aware of? And from reading an exhaust spacer is a must, mechanic at local dealership says different. But you guys have much more exsperanced with this stuff. Not planning on doing any extrem rock crawling, mostly for hunting. Who knows what kind of conditions I may come across but plan for the worse hope for the best. Or should I just go with the standard 3.5 and not the super flex? My age is the new 40's in my upper 50's I have the extrem some what out of my system, NOT

No metal trimming is required to install a 35x12.50 tire on your vehicle with this lift kit. We highly recommend upgrading driveshafts (FrontPart Number: R/ERE1883-365) and (Rear Part Number: R/ERE1887-430). When upgrading driveshafts the exhaust spacer is not longer required. I hope that helps. Thank you for the question.

If I install this on my 2015 Unlimited Rubicon, will I still be able to use the electronic sway bar disconnect?

Yes, the Rubicon Express 3.5 Inch Super-Flex Short Arm Lift Kit with Mono Tube Shocks R/ERE7143M allows you to keep the factory Rubicon electronic sway bar disconnect. Thank you.
