I wanted to upgrade the look of my 2014 Ram 4wd with some more height and more aggressive looking wheels. I chose this 6 inch kit mainly because it would do everything the others did but at a better price point. I went with the V2 strut upgrade and rear V2's and coil spring version, which added to the cost of the basic lift kit. Materials seem to be heavy duty...especially the knuckles! Knuckles are cast steel rather than factory aluminum and really heavy. This R/C kit uses drop down brackets in front, and rear axle control arm brackets/coil springs in rear. All really heavy duty and well fastened. I did the install myself in my driveway. Ughhh. Suggested labor time for this install is supposed to be 7 to 9 hours. It took me around 20. I didn't really have any issues other than access of top rear shock fasteners and one xfer case bolt. Patience helps. You have to drill a couple holes in back and remove a bit of material on one side differential mount in front. Not a big deal. Final thoughts in no particular order: You will definitely be further up in the air! You'll want running boards of some type if you don't already have them. Ride with the V2's: Maybe a little stiffer...maybe...over normal road conditions. Much MUCH better over the rough stuff. Steers and drives just fine. Drive-line angles don't really change...you get a spacer for your diff... the rear drive-line shows a 1/4 or so bit of extension. It might help to mark relative positions of your lower control arm adjustment cam bolts prior to removal so you can get to alignment shop. I had heard from one shop that there are sometimes alignment issues with these kits...alignment shop i went to had no issues and I noticed afterward the cams are smack in the middle of their adjustment range. Instructions included with kit are well...they seem to be added as an afterthought. Kind of like the 'new kid' at the factory was told to write the procedures and given 20 minutes...and crappy camera from dollar store to do it. Fortunately there are many great videos on YouTube, I would watch them all! For me...this kit is all it needs to be. Money well spent. G
