You question the qualaty of this product, well think again.
I currently own a 2010 F250 4x4 powerstroke, heavy truck. I recently purchased a set of bilstein 5100 shocks for my truck since the factory were going out and the ride was bad. When I install the shocks I was impressed by the presentation of the shocks and how hard it was to compresed them. Well it made it a horrible ride, stiff and not enjoyable. Four Wheel Drive parts exchange them and sold me the Rancho RS9000xl of course I paid the difference for the upgrade. I could not be happier with their service for the customer and happier with the shocks they advised me would make a difference. Shocks are great smooth ride and you will not hear me crying down the road.

Blew a Shock
I really like these shocks/struts. But, with under 10,000 miles I blew a rear shock.
I was not abusing the truck, just normal driving.
How 4Wheelparts treats me on this will determine whether I need to make a nasty review, or let it go.

Best shock ever!
these Rancho shocks are hands down the best shocks I have ever purchased. I previously had Bilstein shocks on my 2003 Ford f250 and I can tell you this, nothing compares to the Rancho. I've had the best ride ever since I remove the Bilsteins. Great job Rancho, keep up the great work!

Great shock...awesome adjustability
These shocks make adjusting for road use to offroad use easy. The upper numbers are not as stiff as I thought, was pleasantly surprised for my '09 GMC 2500HD 4X4.

Good ride, tough fit.
The shocks look to be well-made and the ride that they give is great; also adjustable.
The front shocks rub against the A-frame by only the slightest amounts, but any at all might be a problem. Also, the length of the front shock is about a half-inch too short, meaning that a jack is necessary to raise the a-frame to fit. That also cut the suspension travel by that amount and will make the shock bottom out.
It should have come with new lower mount bolts which it did not.
The shock hardware is English while the OEM parts are metric. It is way past time to leave the old English system behind. The USA is the only place in the world where it is still used, besides Myanmar and Liberia. Get with it Rancho! Plus, why add another problem to the task?

Ok not awesome
The rear shocks have a huge body and rod. The fronts are standard size which doesnt make sense. These shocks improved the ride over the trashed Gabriels that were on there but are not really better than any other cheap shock I have had. One of the front shocks was missing a bushing. There was no directions as to which way you turn the knob to make shock stiffer etc. And its not easy to access on the front of a dodge to be messing with it.

Installation was a bit difficult due to the upper shock bolt being in a difficult location. A crows foot wrench did the trick.
Towed a 16' bumper pull trailer from PA to UT. The shocks worked wonderfully. The ride was great after finding the right setting (5) for the load.
Well worth the money as far as I'm concerned, will buy again for my other toys.

Installed a set of RS9000XL's on my '97 Dodge Cummins 2500 with 2" leveling kit. The guys at 4W Parts and Rancho were quick to determine the proper shocks for my truck.
The adjustability of the shocks is a great feature to customize the ride from driving empty a full load.

Got these to replace my factory shocks to help with pulling a 6500 pound travel trailer. What a huge difference. Set them up to 9 for pulling the trailer and they were great. Left them there with the truck empty and was a pretty "trucky" ride. Set them down to 1 and I couldn't believe the difference. Great soft and smooth ride. I put them on my Ford F-150 2004 Lariat. Adjustments are not too hard to do and well worth having.
I want a set of Rancho 9000XL shocks for the rear of my 2013 Ford F-150 4x4 with a 1.5" lift in rear. Which part number would be best RANRS999384 (site says for 0-1" lift) or RANRS999287 (site says for 2.5" lift)?

Will these shocks fit my 2012 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually that been lifted 6" over stock. I have installed over size tires 37x12.50Rx17 and will need a shock that can control this large weight on travel, My measurement from existing factory shock mounts at rest are 26" from eye-to-eye mount. The rubber bushings that came with Fab-tech shocks got destroyed and I need poly ones to hold for the mass weight, especially the dually tires. Thanks!

Sorry, this shock will not fit your vehicle application. We do offer the Pro Comp Suspension MX-6 Monotube Adjustable Shock Absorber Part Number: EXPMX6158 (Front) and Part Number: EXPMX6100 (Rear) that will fit your vehicle. Thank you for the question.
