A: Hello HD, Thank you for the question. Ride quality is mostly gained via the suspension (leaf springs in the rear of your vehicle). Shocks just control the tire contact patch to the ground. Unless your shocks are leaking, damaged or have high mileage the vehicle will ride similar to what you have now no matter what shock you install. I would suggest upgrading the shocks if you do have leaking, damaged or have high mileage. I'd also suggest adding a rear airbag system. This will help control some of the vehicle "Buck".

A: Jay- Thank you for your question. Depending on the truck you have I would recommend the pro comp MX6 adjustable found here http://jo.my/o1jyz8 . This will allow you to adjust for the extra weight. A coil or strut spacer would help to preload the suspension to regain the ride height. The Bilstein 5100 ride height adjustable would be a good choice for an IFS application. After installing the bumper you should allow a few weeks to see how the springs settle with the extra weight before deciding on the adjustment you need to make. Remember a winch addition will add weight as well.
