Pro Comp's Pro Runner SS is engineered for late model trucks & SUVs with coilover strut-style, independent front suspensions. Pro Runner SS monotube shocks do more than just improve vehicle ride and handling. They also provide the option of raising the front suspension up to 2.75” depending on application or maintaining the factory ride height and rake thanks to the patent pending 180* SS height adjustable collar. Note: Retains Factory Coil Spring, Coil spring not included. The Pro Runner Monotube shocks deliver the most “bang for your buck” when combined with the new Pro Runner Control Arms. At the heart of the shock is the gas-charged monotube design that delivers superior performance compared to traditional twin tube shocks. The brushed and zinc-plated, clear coated monotube body is nitrogen gas pressurized to eliminate performance-robbing cavitation during compression and rebound. This allows the shock to dissipate heat more efficiently. The Vehicle Specific Ride Tuning (VSRT) in each shock was derived using extensive dyno and real world testing. The result is multi-stage valving to optimize the ride and handling characteristics for each application. Whether you are towing a trailer or hitting woops in the desert, you can count on Pro Comp Pro Runner monotubes to give you the confidence behind the wheel.
I have a 2 wheel drive Toyota Tacoma TX Edition. Lifted the front end and went with an inch bigger on the tires. No need for the decompress tool, just used the jack under the toe (not sure if that's what it's called). To lift back up to screw back on I used a ratchet tie downs. About 3 hours. Lifting the rear end today about 1.5 inch.

Glad I had my mechanic install these as he had to go to another shop to use their spring compressor to get them assembled because his wasn't heavy duty enough. The ride is way bouncier. They did give me a full 2 inch lift. If I had it to do over again I'd go with something close to factory struts and use a leveling kit.

Bought these to level out my 2007 Ram 1500 4x4. worked out perfect, now the truck sits level. I suggest you get all 4 Pro Comp shocks to get the best ride quality. Ride is night and day compared to the stock shocks.

Easy instillation with the right tools. Had to go to a few different shops that were able to compress my factory springs in order to put on the new hardware. Other than that, very simple and quick DIY.

Great leveling shocks!
Leveled my 2013 Silverado out nicely to clear 285/65r/18 tires. Had a local shop install them due to needing a good spring compressor to install.

I wanted to raise the front of Ram 2009 Ram 1500 a few inches to sit level.
The sales guy said these are height adjustable same as Bilstein 5100 which were on backorder. These are not adjustable, just can choose factory height or 2.75" lift so now I have to pay freight to return.

I was running a HB steel leveling spacer on my 06 Ram 1500 and just upgraded to these. The installation was straight forward and the overall quality seems very good. I've been running them for a little over a week and have to say I'm extremely satisfied with the ride quality. They are definitely a huge improvement over the stock setup with the spacers I was running.

I put the pro runner SS on my 07 silverado 1500 and its the best upgrade to date. I couldn't ask for a better daily driver, off road, leveling shock. The guys at pro comp did an amazing job at creating an all-purpose shock!! I would choose the pro comp pro runner ss over any other proformance leveling shock out there, hands down.
