Pro Comp's Pro Runner SS is engineered for late model trucks & SUVs with coilover strut-style, independent front suspensions. Pro Runner SS monotube shocks do more than just improve vehicle ride and handling. They also provide the option of raising the front suspension up to 2.75” depending on application or maintaining the factory ride height and rake thanks to the patent pending 180* SS height adjustable collar. Note: Retains Factory Coil Spring, Coil spring not included. The Pro Runner Monotube shocks deliver the most “bang for your buck” when combined with the new Pro Runner Control Arms. At the heart of the shock is the gas-charged monotube design that delivers superior performance compared to traditional twin tube shocks. The brushed and zinc-plated, clear coated monotube body is nitrogen gas pressurized to eliminate performance-robbing cavitation during compression and rebound. This allows the shock to dissipate heat more efficiently. The Vehicle Specific Ride Tuning (VSRT) in each shock was derived using extensive dyno and real world testing. The result is multi-stage valving to optimize the ride and handling characteristics for each application. Whether you are towing a trailer or hitting woops in the desert, you can count on Pro Comp Pro Runner monotubes to give you the confidence behind the wheel.
For they cost and the warranty you get with pro comp you can’t find a better option The ride is better than their competitors
I had the metal blocks on OEM struts for a 2015 Ram 1500 Bighorn 1500 4x4. They were rough and offered a poor ride quality. I replaced that setup with these and I feel the difference. It offers an almost OEM ride quality. Also, recommend replacing the upper control arms with Mevotech. The OEM upper control arms are not designed for a leveling kit.
I have a 2 wheel drive Toyota Tacoma TX Edition. Lifted the front end and went with an inch bigger on the tires. No need for the decompress tool, just used the jack under the toe (not sure if that's what it's called). To lift back up to screw back on I used a ratchet tie downs. About 3 hours. Lifting the rear end today about 1.5 inch.
Leveled up the front end of my 2015 Silverado with out killing ride and handling.
Easy instillation with the right tools. Had to go to a few different shops that were able to compress my factory springs in order to put on the new hardware. Other than that, very simple and quick DIY.
Leveled my 2013 Silverado out nicely to clear 285/65r/18 tires. Had a local shop install them due to needing a good spring compressor to install.
I put the pro runner SS on my 07 silverado 1500 and its the best upgrade to date. I couldn't ask for a better daily driver, off road, leveling shock. The guys at pro comp did an amazing job at creating an all-purpose shock!! I would choose the pro comp pro runner ss over any other proformance leveling shock out there, hands down.
