When lifted, the drag link attachment point needs to be moved down to reduce link angle, creating the need for a drop pitman arm.
Its a pitman arm. It does what it does. Ordered online picked up in store next day. No issues.
Fit perfect on my 01 7.3 4x4 with a 4" lift. Already replaced the gear box, steerings tight now.
Perfect fit and finish. Fixed the twitchy steering immediately. I was happy with the extreme durable coating.
It worked for my 2000 excursion can’t say anything for long term durability which is the important part in the end
Replaced worn steering box and pitman arm. Steering nice and tight now.
not much to say. its the only one that fits 2 wheel drive. works fine!
Pitman Arm is long enough to give the drag link a good angle without putting stress on the tie rod ends. You may have to adjust the steering at the box due to the length of the arm. It may cause you to oversteer and have your tires rub your leaf springs.

Q: I am wondering how many splines the fd500 is...I know there are 2 different types the 32 and the 36 spline! Just want to know what spline count this product is? Answer this question
A: Hello It depends on the year of the truck. On the super duty trucks from 99 - 2014 there are 5 different pitman arms. I don't have a listing for the F550 splines. The other think that is different the indexing of the major splines. The 500 is clocked a 11 1 5 7 and some are 12 3 6 9. We go by the year and not the spline count do to clocking. thanks
