Great Pitman Arm; Strong and Steady
Pitman Arm is long enough to give the drag link a good angle without putting stress on the tie rod ends.
You may have to adjust the steering at the box due to the length of the arm. It may cause you to oversteer and have your tires rub your leaf springs.
I am wondering how many splines the fd500 is...I know there are 2 different types the 32 and the 36 spline! Just want to know what spline count this product is?

It depends on the year of the truck. On the super duty trucks from 99 - 2014 there are 5 different pitman arms. I don't have a listing for the F550 splines. The other think that is different the indexing of the major splines. The 500 is clocked a 11 1 5 7 and some are 12 3 6 9. We go by the year and not the spline count do to clocking.

How many splines are on the FD500 and how many splines are on the FD400 drop pitman arm, also are they both for 4x4 application? I have a 2000 F250 4x4 diesel with a 3-4 inch lift

I don't have the spline count but the FD500 is 1 3/8th of an inch the FD400 is for the 2/99 and older 1999 super duties and is 1 5/16th inch
Hope this helps all of the 2000 would use the FD500
