The Black Series are the most advanced shocks that Pro Comp has ever offered, providing superior performance both on-road and off. Top-of-theline materials and hand crafted assembly result in unmatched quality no matter what terrain lies in your path. Black Series shocks and coilovers use large diameter grained steel bodies (2.75-inch for the coilovers and 2-inch for the smooth body shocks) and fills them with high end components between the anodized black aluminum end caps.
Once he warranty ran out on my 2005 Tacoma 4x4 Crew Cab, LB truck, in Silver. I had these installed as part of the ProComp 6" lift package (Stage 3) and was surprised at how good and smooth the ride was. With the awkward look of a stock Tacoma Crewcab with LONG bed, along with the lift kit, made it look perfectly symmettric and 100% better appearance. Also the shocks look like they were built for a tank.
I was very happy with the product that was installed in late 2008, and so much so that I am about to do the same mods with my 2010 Tacoma CrewCab 4x4 LB truck in white, using the Procomp 6" lift and incorporating these shocks again for sure.
I have a 2011 Tacoma TRD 4x4, quad cab short bed, I currently have 265/65 16s stock on truck, I want to upgrade to the 17x9 Proc Comp Helldorado PXA7036-8983 paired to BFGs AT KO2 275/70 17s. My question is will this coil-over give me the clearance I need for my wheels and tires, and will I need to replace my upper control arms. Thanks.

Yes, the Pro Comp Suspension Coilover Shock Absorber Part Number: EXP57097BMX will give you enough clearance for that tire size. You will also need the Pro Comp Uniball Upper A Arm with Billet Dust Cap Part Number EXP57002B. Thank you for the question.

I have a 2011 Toyota Tacoma crew cab long bed of which has a 6 inch pro comp lift, however the original bilstein shocks are stretched from the coil spacers to the lower bracket, the coil spring is attached at the top but is connected to nothing at the bottom. I bought this truck used with 11000 miles on it, the cross member brackets are in place but every time I hit a bump my 35 12.50 18 tires rub. I want to know if these fit and will correct the problem , are these sold as a pair and could I just use regular coils and 3000 procomp front strut/shocks to fix the issue. Thanks for your time and expertise on this matter.

I would call Pro Comp and talk to a tech they will tell you the best way to repair this or if it can be purchased by itself. 800-776-0767
