The ES1000 performance series shock is designed to replace the factory shock and provides optimum performance, enhancing driving comfort and vehicle control. Utilizing a 1 3/ 8 in. nylon banded full displacement piston head and double welded shock mounts, this shock assures strength and long lasting durability.
Great shocks for replacing stock shocks on my 98 Ranger XL single cab. Nice, firm ride. It feels like a real "truck" now and is much more responsive to steering input and handles harder impacts without the bounciness of the stockers. I had the ES3000 on my other 98 Ranger (King cab with 3" Pro Comp lift) that I wrecked into a wall on the 10 fwy. I loved the ride of that truck & it handled light off-roading (and some hard too) duties very well. I think the ES1000 feel very similar to the ES3000 shocks.

Buy the next level up
I knew I needed new shocks so I went as cheap as I could. My truck is 15 years old so I'm putting as little $ into it as I can. I wish I spent the extra $35 and bought the next step up!

Good comfortable ride on lowest setting but still stiffer than stock. I noticed immediately it helps in cornering. A little difficult getting them on my jeep as I needed to compress the shock with a small jack to get them on eyelets. I am looking forward to its performance on the higher setting when pulling my travel trailer.

Worth the money
If cost is a problem, but you want good looks then these are the shocks for you. I wouldn't use them for any serious off roading though.

Don't go with recommended
Incorrect shocks for application. Return policy is a nightmare and still haven't received credit for return.

Good factory upgrade
Good upgrade to factory shocks that were bad. Hardest part of install was that bushings had to be pressed out and replaced in rear shocks. Bushings were supplied but you needed a press to do the job. Luckily I had one in my shop.
will this fit on my 6 inch procomp lift stage 1 on a 2005 nissan armada? Do i have to remove the spacers on the front?
joe from torrance ca on
The EXP627000 is the 2.75 diameter coil over shock only. You will need an EXP59002BMX which is a conversion kit to go from Stage1 to Stage 2. It will have both front coil overs, uni-ball spacers.upper shock mounts and hardware. It will also come
with mx-6 mono tube adjustable gas shocks for the rear. The rear shocks are for the Titan and can be returned for full credit. You can upgrade to the MX-6 shocks for the
rear of your lifted Armada. It will be 2 each of EXPMX6061. The Stage 1 front strut spacers are eliminated with the Stage 2 conversion kit. Thank You for you question.

The correct part number for your vehicle application is S/DShockingES1000. This will get you two front and two rear shocks for your vehicle. Thank you.
