4.0 What’s changed with the way they are made?

I don’t know what has changed with the way they’re built but the first time out on a trail ride I dented two of my rims. I have an old set and beat on them for many years and only could scrap the paint off.

2.0 Excess runout. No way to get them to run smooth

Probably good for a dedicated off road vehicle but not built good enough for a smooth highway machine. Two of my wheels were made true and two of them have significant runout. Discount Tire did their best to get them balanced but they have about 3/16 runout and there’s only so much you can do with that. These wheels were brand new out of the box when I took them to have the tires installed on them. The problem was poor manufacturing quality and not damage. My Landcruiser is a road queen anyway. It’s not like I’m one to go off road and tear stuff up. The mall parking lots are smooth in this area. So, in summation, avoid these wheels if you’re looking for something fit for daily driver usage. Save these for the weekend trail rig where some vibration wouldn’t be noticed.

1.0 Steering is shakey now

Q: Want a set  of these for my 1995 Land Rover discovery with tires .  PLan on adding 1 inch lift.  Will they fit and do bolts line up.  If not what sillier rim will fit? Answer this question

A: It looks like your bolt pattern is 5x165.1. If that is the case, these wheels will not fit. You need 5-lug wheels.

Q: Will these fit a 2013 Ford F-150 XL (2 x 4, reg. cab, 5.0 L V8)? The OEM bolt pattern is 6 x 135 mm. These are listed as 6 x 5.5 inches. Pretty close to 135 mm, but not quite. Are they nominally the same? Thanks Answer this question

A: Hello David and thank you for your question! Pro Comp Wheels Rock Crawler Series 51, 17x8 with 6 on 5.5 Bolt Pattern - Black is for a Chevy and the 6x5.5 bolt pattern will not fit on a F-150. Pro Comp does not make any steel wheels for you truck, they only make their alloy wheels.
