The Poison Spyder Jeep TJ Rear Bumper Brace Kit adds more strength to your TJ's rear bumper mounting. This is especially important if you intend to tow, use bumper-mounted recovery points, or a bumper-mounted spare tire carrier. This is a recommended upgrade for all Poison Spyder TJ rear bumpers, including the RockBrawler and BFH line of rear bump.
Worked as expected, 4wp made pickup easy and painless.
excellent craftsmanship. cant find this quality anywhere else . the brackets easy installation. they come raw metal so you will need to paint or powder coat. I had them powdered same as my poison spyder Brawler bumper . I would recommend the parts however the shipping coming from four wheel parts took for ever maybe order factory direct next time.
Bought the rear bumper brace kit with PS Rockbrawler rear bumper and tire carrier for my ‘99 TJ. Also purch front PS Rockbrawler bumper. Well pleased with all. Great look and quality appears excellent. I Like that Rear bumper braces have holes to access rear body mounts. Having the brace kit gives me confidence that I can utilize my TJ to pull a trailer to rated capacity of the TJ even though rear bumper w/ receiver not rated for towing. Had to ream holes in braces slightly to achieve bolt alignment to frame. Regarding rear bumper, my cross member did not have holes to utilize interior bolts. I drilled 2 pairs of holes in cross member. Gave me a total of 8 bolted tie in points plus 2 that bolt into frame from bottom. Regarding rear bumper install, with bumper fully tightened down, the bumper underside covers the rear 4 bolts that secure the gas tank and the 2 strap bolts that secure tank with skid plate. I drilled holes with hole saw thru bumper for future access to these. Front bumper was straight forward install. No surprises there.
