Painless Wiring High Beam Headlight Relay Kit

This product was extremely easy to use. The instructions were complete and detailed. The difference in light output is amazing. Chevy should have added this feature in production.

Very clear directions, really assists in lighting up the road at night. Completely dumbfounded why GM did not include this configuration of all four lights on at the same time.

I chose Painless because of their great quality and I was willing to pay a little more for that reason too. I was impressed with the detail of the installation instructions and the quality of the connecting hardware. The only trouble I had was their suggested location for the chassis ground was poor location, I moved it to a different bolt and got more reliability out of the relay equipment. Great choice for those of us trying to avoid Rudolf and his friendsi on the highways at night!

I do a lot of night driving on dark roads and these are fantastic! Light up the road like you wouldn't believe.

I never rush when installing things especially electrical. This took me about 45 minutes. It's easy. Parts are high quaulity. Relay made by Hella. The only thing I added that would have made this kit complete was a piece of black protective flex hose to protect electrical wire running from the relay mounted on the core support over to the battery junction connection. You can pick this up cheap anywhere, even [...], and it looks just like the OEM stuff. I run HIR bulbs at factory wattage for high/low beams and this upgrade really makes a difference in providing a complete beam pattern. If you live up in the Northeast where the Deer can come out of nowhere you'll know what I mean. Overall, a simple, but very effective upgrade to these trucks.

I had been looking at/for this kit for a while, and was surprised to find it on sale here for about half the prices that I had seen online since last summer.This is a great add-on for my 1994 Suburban (and any similar Chev/GMC trucks)! I still need to polish or replace the cloudy composite headlight housing, but just the difference between having both high and low beams on, rather than just the high beams is dramatically better.The only (and much easier, lazier) deviation that I took, from the great directions that came with it, was to route the primary power lead into one the several hot leads on the terminal block, on the passenger side firewall, rather than going all of the way down to the starter solenoid as directed. The wiring, and particularly the relay and the supplied mounting block that it attaches to, are of a much better quality than typically seen in your neighborhood auto parts store or retail electronics supply "shack".
