The Circuit Boss dual battery control system provides you with control over your vehicle's charging system. A three position switch enables different power combinations for maximum power while starting, winching, etc. Minimal alterations are necessary to the stock charging system which functions normally after the Circuit Boss has been installed. The standard dual battery control is good for most applications. Painless' waterproof system uses military spec switches for heavy duty automotive use. Kits include: solenoid, switch, perteminated wire/connectors, fuse holder, fuse and mounting hardware. *Does not include battery cables for connecting your dual battery setup. This is the waterproof dual battery control system and solenoids are rated at 250 amps.
Installation was easy enough, be prepared for the expense of 2ga wire, it was about 100$ with all the ends for my application(one battery on each side of the engine bay.)
Finding the hot wire in the cranking and run position was the most difficult part.just make sure to have a good test light.
But to be able to change both batteries and separate them is awesome and when you connect the 2 batteries together you can feel the power when you start the truck. I can't wait to drain my primary battery and get to use the secondary to start up, with just the flick of a toggle. crazy I know!
Price is okay for the overall kit and a top name in the field. A good solenoid is just expensive. I looked for a long time before deciding on this kit. it's Best one I could get I feel.
