Replacement polyethylene gas tanks have no welds or seams and are guaranteed not to rust through for the life of your vehicle. With thickness nearly a quarter inch, the insulating qualities of the polyethylene will also reduce condensation and, most importantly, will eliminate rust. MTS' tanks are easy to install, using the original mounting hardware and are Made in the U.S.A.

Q: I have a 1976 jeep CJ where do I get the straps and the skid plate? I don't have anything currently. Does it come with the sending unit? Answer this question
A: Includes sending unit. Omix-ADA Fuel Tank Skid Plate (Primer Coat) - PN: OAI17721.01 and Omix-ADA Gas Tank Strap - PN: OAI17739.03

Q: All the photos on the website show this gas tank with a skid plate and extensions for the extra depth, yet when mine arrived, it was only the tank and sending unit. Where is the skid plate shown in the photos? This is kind of misleading. I paid a lot of money for a piece of plastic! Answer this question
A: Hello 1972-1977 Jeep® CJ (exact fit 1976-1977) 21 gallon tank. Will fit 1972-1975 but requires OEM style skid plate and straps. Does NOT come with skid plate. Includes skid plate extensions, new sending unit, new top strap, new lock ring and O-ring. Inline fuel filter is required. I don't know what year you are working on but if older than 76 you need the 76 -77 skid plate. all they do is lower down the stock skid plate. it looks like they left that detail out on the website.
