FORD SUPER DUTY: Given the popularity of the XB headlights for the Super Duty from Morimoto, its evident that Super Duty owners aren't the crowd who cuts corners when it comes to upgrades for their truck... and while theres no shortage of aftermarket parts out there, somehow no brand has yet to deliver a worthy set of tail lights for this truck ...until now. The Morimoto XB LED tail lights for the 2017-2022 Ford Super Duties are the category killer you have all been waiting for!
ULTIMATE FLEX: Compatible with all versions of the Ford Super Duty from 2017 to 2022, they will fit all trucks with OE incandescent, OE incandescent with BLIS, or the OE LED with BLIS tail lights... Yes you read that correctly. Even if your truck does not have the BLIS system, the XB tails will still fit, work properly, and add that high-end vibe to your truck. They will not however magically enable the BLIS function. Everything has been thoughtfully designed to be completely plug n play with the factory wiring harness and radar system, use all of the stock mounting points, and should not take more than 30 minutes to install both taillights.
REVERSE LIGHTS: Are often over-looked, but not with the Morimoto XB tail lights for the Super Duty. While they come standard with powerful LED reverse lights, just wait, theres more! Morimoto's backup light boost setup allows you to plug n play with the optional XB Backup Light Boost Bar that mounts to the top of your license plate frame and provides an extra 5000 lumens of controlled light output in reverse. Yeah, Morimoto customers like to see where they're going in reverse too!
STYLE: Inspired by the design of modern OEM LED tail lights from Ford, these look at-home in the rear end of the Super Duty. Three rows of 3D light blades are illuminated from the rear with integrated TIR optics, and serve as the brake light and turn signal. The parking light optic around the outer edge of the lights mirrors the OEM LED setup, and is equally impressive in the intensity department day or night. Pair that with the surrounding muscular trim, optional smoked or red outer lens, and we've easily got what is the best-looking set of Super Duty tails on the road.
STYLE AND SAFETY: All Morimoto tail lights are designed to comply with all DOT, SAE regulations for rear-facing lamps. We pride ourselves on offering stylish, high-performance and safe products for serious enthusiasts, which is why all new Morimoto products are verified by trusted third party labs for compliance and are backed with an industry-leading five year warranty.
BENCHMARK: Morimoto. The Automotive Lighting Benchmark. We are globally recognized as the brand to beat when it comes to aftermarket lighting upgrades for the automotive aftermarket. No other brand blends performance, quality, and style quite like we do. Our vast product line covers today's most popular trucks and cars. If you don't see it, trust that we can make it. Whether you're interested in something off the shelf or a brand new product designed exclusively for you: Connect with Morimoto Today!
NOTE: 2017-2019 Trucks are not compatible with the separate Amber turn signal function of these lights. The three bars of the tail light will blink red. This is due to how the stock tail lights are configured.
The taillights look amazing and I love the ease of installation and brightness of the reverse lights. problem one is hyper flash. It only occurs on the dash indicator, but is still annoying. forScan doesn’t fix the problem either. The second problem is Morimoto’s negligent tech support/customer service. They have a harness that you can add that fixes these issues according to a fellow consumer, but I’ve yet to receive a response to multiple emails as well as never getting past being on hold every time I’ve called. Still hoping to get the issue fixed though.
Q: What is the hyper-flash mentioned by the reviewer? Answer this question
A: Hyper flash is your blinker flashes like crazy. According to the manufacturers site you need to replace front and rear headlights to resolve that issue.

A: You have to contact Morimoto, I recommend calling and taking to the tech department. They are aware of the issue and created an updated harness that they will send to you. The problem seems to be taillights that were manufactured before December. Their distributors still have inventory prior to the fix. I will add that it’s very hard to get tech support on the phone, but email is pointless.

Morimoto lighting was established in 2008 to fill the gap in the aftermarket for truly high quality automotive lighting products. Without the budget of a major automaker to back R&D and production, individual consumers could either salvage original equipment components, or be forced to settle for inferior aftermarket parts. If you are an enthusiast, a fabricator, or a distributor and have found yourself unimpressed with the ‘dime-a-dozen’ HID kits and accessories from other manufactures, then we urge you to take a closer look at what we have to offer. Search the web for an alternative name in lighting that comes more widely recommended by end-users for performance, reliability, and the way it looks and if you can find it, then buy it. Morimoto is the automotive lighting benchmark.
