Bought this for 96 landcruiser, puts out the same as a denso, less then a bosch, tech at company is full of it. Wiring needs to be increased if actually putting out more power, but it doesn't. They need a video to back their claim, inline amp qauge. 4 wheel parts shouldn't carry a companies product that is bs.
Q: Your ad says 200 amp, the spec sheet says 140 amp. Which is it or? 06/TJ/4.0L Answer this question
A: Specs are total bs, installed in 96 toyota land cruiser and the alternator won't put out as much as a new bosch. Waste of money

Q: Do I have to have a dual battery set up to use this or will it work with my single Yellow top battery Answer this question
A: Dane- Thank you for your question. The Mean Green High-Output Alternator will work with your single yellow top optima. A dial battery set up would be a good idea to make full use of the out put of the alternator. This would allow you to run your accessories like winch, lighting and inverter off the secondary battery. You can find an excellent controller option here http://jo.my/buhave
