Good evening. I have a 1985 CJ-7 with stock style rugged ridge low back seats. I really want these Mastercraft Rubicon seats, but I've read that they sit quite a bit higher than the stock seats. My eyes are already lined up in the top half of the windshield, so I can't sit much higher without being obstructed by the visor and windshield frame. My long winded question is, will the Rubicon seats raise me up much from where I'm at? I'm on stock mounts and sliders.

The MasterCraft Safety Rubicon Performance Seat in Black / Black Outer/ Black Inner Fabric MCS524004 sit about 1.5" taller than the factory seat. Most people remove the stock sliders (2" tall) to maintain the factory seat height. However, that will require some modifications to the factory seat brackets. Thank you for the question.

The roots of MasterCraft Safety stretch all the way back to 1970 when the company specialized in aerospace fabrication, manufacturing and welding and today the focus is squarely on seats. This focus began with racing seats with built-in suspension and branched into safety and seat accessories like belts, seat covers and grab handles. Developing graduated foams to better absorb shock that Jeeps undergo off-roading is currently the company's pet project, yet all of their seats incorporate comfort, style and, of course, safety. If off-road racing legends can depend on MasterCraft products, so can you!Shop MasterCraft Safety Now
