Put this on my stock header on a l6 2005 it did NOT linen up . I was lucky at a shop where they had to cut it and add a small piece of pipe to make it fit. I could have never done this at home. So be careful they are not a exact fit .
I had an upper exhaust leak and needed to replace my oil pan and gasket on my 06 TJ so, naturally, these had to be done a the same time. The exhaust upper is an easy, exact replacement that's high-quality right out of the box. Since the other one was scrap, I made the removal much easier by taking a sawzall to it in chunks which made the bolts so much easier to remove. The new installation was super easy and made even easier by replacing the rusted stock bolts with new bolts. Instead of hex-head I got socket cap bolts and maneuvering a ball-end in there was 100 times easier than what a socket would have been. With the installation of a new Magnaflow cat and Flowmaster exhaust, the whole system definitely has a little more power.
97 TJ Sport 4.0L...Got this setup to go with Banks Headers (51327) and Banks Monster cat back (51312) as my old headers and midpipe from previous owner had a custom welded setup. Super happy with quality. Knowing i have Magnaflow as part of my system is piece of mind. Beautiful quality and once all together, sounds wonderful. Here's why i didn't give it 5 stars..the flange that mates up to header is recessed. On the side of downtube that bends in, you CAN'T get any socket (even a 1/4" drive) or a box wrench on it. You have to angle down with a box wrench and try not to strip anything out. I've included a picture. A simple flat flange would be perfect (Banks headers had it). Pipe was way to close to driveshaft, i was getting a nasty clunking on decel during first test drive. A simple loosening at header and cat, spacing with a block of wood, and re-tightening, fixed the issue. I would definitely buy this again!!
This was part of an upgrade for my 2003 jeep. The only issue was the hanger was on the wrong side of the pipe, but was remounted and works great. Tech with Magnaflo were very helpful.
Ease of installation and was a perfect fit.
Just added to my Rubicon tj today they look like they will last a very long time all welds were awesome, went in really nice,
Used this to replace oem failing cat. Better to cut emissions than gain a barely noticeable increase in power. Bolted to stock down pipe and borla cat back. Passed NJ inspection. Would rate 5 stars but have to see if it lasts for another 160000mi.
I had to have the downpipe fabricated to fit, it was hitting my front driveshaft. The cost for the mod was only $70 and I am blown away by the way my Jeep TJ runs now. I also added the Magnaflow catback....as well as 2 new O2 sensors. It is worth the investment, you can tell a world of difference in power, it's like adding life to the 4.0 liter inline 6. Highly recommended for all around conditions...
