Unlock and boost both horsepower and torque quickly and easily to your Jeep, Ford or Chevrolet truck, SUV or crossover with the K&N 77 Series High Performance Air Intake System. The K&N 77 Series features bolt-on installation with common hand tools and allows your engine to breathe easier by incorporating K&N’s exclusive high-flow filter gauze material. The material is not only chock full of performance benefits, but is also durable and requires minimal servicing vs. full-on replacement like other OEM filter replacements, saving you money over the life of your vehicle. K&N’s popular 77 Series metal cold air intake systems for trucks and SUV’s combine outstanding performance and sharp under-the-hood styling. The metallic finishes found on the mandrel-bent piping are not only eye-catching, but are designed to maximize airflow. K&N’s chrome-like finish part numbers end in "KP" while the more understated Grey finish kits end in "KG"—perfect for the sleeper look. Often times, restriction can exist between an air filter and the engine in the form of less-than-optimal bends and/or smaller diameter ducting. This is one of the weakest links in the airflow “chain”, which robs a vehicle of its natural horsepower. More often than not, that weak point is the factory air path leading to the engine serves as a bottleneck for performance. K&N 77-Series High Performance Air Intake Systems virtually eliminates air path restriction by replacing the air filter with a high-performance unit thereby creating less airflow resistance to the engine. The aluminum tube is properly engineered and effectively drives a cleaner flow of air into the engine, which translates into more horsepower, torque and fuel economy. Though mass-produced to keep up with white-hot demand, K&N 77 Series kits have the look and feel of custom-made units. They come with an oversized high-flow conical air filter designed to provide increased surface area and dust filtration. The extra surface area helps to provide even more airflow at lower restriction than a standard O/E replacement filter that is limited to the size of the factory air box. The oversize air filter also captures more dirt increasing the service life before each cleaning is required (up to 100,000 miles). Most 77 Series Kits include a heat shield designed to seal against a vehicle’s hood to isolate the air intake from engine heat. Cooling the air that travels into the engine can increase horsepower all by itself. All our metal intake kits use adapters made from high strength materials such as silicon and reinforced nylon and ensures long life. These kits come standard with powder coated steel brackets. Some 77 Series Air Intakes are not legal for use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal. Check the catalog or website vehicle parts search for specific CARB status. Official K&N 77-Series Intake Dyno Test:
Installed this kit on my '12 F-150 4x4, 5.0. I have a performance exhaust and this really complements it. Quiet at idle or part throttle but sounds off when the loud pedal is mashed. Can see a slight fuel mileage increase but an already great motor has better breathing. K&N has a quality product, had an AEM on an '02 Expedition 5.4. That kit required some ingenuity but K&N's is a better fit. Have used their filters for years.
Complements to K&N and 4Wheel Parts for a great product.

Bolt on Performance
Put it on at the same time that I installed a Banks Monster Exhaust and 180lb camper shell with Yak Rack. Still got 1.2 mpg better on first tank and you can feel it when you get on it. Could be perception, but I like it!

Good system if its right for you
i just have a street jeep so its perfect for me . But if your more into ofroading and mudding your going to want to go with somthing more rugged with more protection . maybe even a snorkle . But this looks cool and sounds kinda cool has a little whistle to it. You can also feel the performance increase.

Any intake upgrade is better then stock. Mid range has picked up noticeably. Haven't ran a full tank of gas thru yet. So far at half tank I'm at 200 miles. It was easier to put the heat shield in the car and look at the pictures (which are not clear at all) also I had 2 buddy's helpin me out so I know it wasent just me having troubles.all in all it took about an hour to install.

Jeep Jk K&N cold air intake kit
Installed on my 09 Jeep unlimited rubicon. Noticed increased horsepower and gas savings right away. Sounds great. Only con is there is no lid for the airbox.

I Could tell the difference as soon as i turned the key. It gave the whole truck a little better sound and adds a little throttle response. I also looks nice, you cant do wrong with chrome. I would buy it again and recommend to a friend.

Tundra 5.7L Air Intake
I chose the K/N Intake because of their name and notoriety and assumed they would provide the best quality product. The kit was easy to install but I question the "Heat Shield" assembly and whether or not it has any affect actually shielding engine heat and forcing cool air from the factory opening. The heat shield fits poorly in the engine compartment and there is no way it seals the filter from the hot engine air. It's too soon to determine MPG savings but the filter has added throaty response during acceleration.

No complaints here.
What can I say. Easy to install, better high end power, its K&N. Installed in less than 30 minutes with basic hand tools, although you will need a drill and a drill bit to make a hole so that the intake will stay in place. Noticeable difference in the high end when you get on it. Performance intake that does what it's supposed to.
