These were exactly what we have been looking for an the price was the lowest we've seen. Perfect fit and tailgate now operates like new!

My original hinges were wore out (more about that later). When hitting even small bumps on the road I would hear a rattle. I replaced the hinges and it fixed the problem. Here's the more: The original hinges are ALUMINUM with a steel hinge pin. Light, but not good. My hinge wasn't wore, it was actually broke. The hinge pin was broke on one side of the top hinge. I drilled out my original bold heads, removed the rest, and these went in with no problems at all.

Beautiful fit and finish. And yes, it does include the stops, like the stock hinges. My stock hinges had hex-head bolts, not the Torx head bolts others gripe about. I didn't have any trouble getting the old hinges off. I did find gray primer under the stock hinges that was slightly exposed when the new hinges were installed. I used Colorall matching paint to cover up the primer. Looks great now.

This project took about 30 min. I couldn't be happier with outcome.

These hinges are the perfect solution to the TJ tailgate hinge issue (corrosion causing tailgate to be hard to open and close) These hinges cover the entire unpainted surface of the body and have an original equipment look (except they are black) Excellent product.

This was my solution to putting a 33" spare on the back without ripping my tailgate off. I originally wanted a new bumper with tire carrier to solve the oversized tire issue. I looked through every thread online about an alternative solution and not once did I see this as a suggestion. I bought a Heavy Duty Rugged Ridge tire carrier and these Kentrol stainless hinges for a fraction of the cost of any carrier. I'm pretty handy and always look forward to working on my jeep, but a new bumper and tire carrier just seemed like something else I have to paint every year. If yours isn't rusty than you just got it. The hinges and spare mount are an excellent combination which provide the same results as a bumper/tire carrier.
