KC SlimLite Kits feature a unique 6 inch round housing with a sleek, flat profile that allows them to fit where many other lights won?t. Their optical quality glass lens, halogen bulb and precision polished reflectors combine to generate a super bright and specially focused beam of light. KC offers these lights in the Long Range, Driving and Fog lights, and come in highly polished titanium, brilliant chrome plated and deep black powder coat finish. Each SlimLite kit includes two KC SlimLites, two High Impact protective stone guards and pre-terminated wiring harness, Heavy-duty relay and illuminated switch with illustrated installation instructions.
I needed to replace my LJ's stock fog lights. I wanted to go 100 watts, but the stock wiring can only handle 55 watts. These installed easily since they plug into the factory wiring harness. I like the plastic lens covers.

These lights are plug & play as the wiring directly connects to the OEM harness on my 2006 Rubicon. They work great on the street & trail as the wide dispersed light fills in the dark areas on each side that the headlights don't cover. I would have given the product five-stars but I'm skeptical that the plastic mounting brackets will not hold up to heavy use. Time will tell.

These work great on my Jeep. Much brighter lights than the factory ones.
I did drill out the factory light's rear square alignment hole to move the lights behind the bumper.

KC Replacement Fog Lights
A car wash snapped the bracket to one of my fog lights and these factory replacements were perfect. They require you to drill out the mounting hole slightly, but this easy task is the "hardest" part of mounting these easy lights. They look great!

Good replacement light
They could have implemented a better way to adjust and secure the lights vertical and horizontal direction. I also had to flip the brackets around so the lights weren't sticking out so far in front of the bumper. it looked kinda funny, and were more susceptible to damage. Fit and finish were excellent. Overall, a very good product.

This was a really good purchase. If you want to use OEM fog switch you need to do some reaserch online to figure out how. You can also use the switch they give you if you do not mind installing switches all over your vehicle. I mounted these on my roller fairlead, they mounted easily, with some reaserch online, the install was a snap.

Nice replacement fog lamp
Great replacement fog lamp and also comes with rock guards. Unplug your old ones and plug in the new ones..it's that simple. The mounting bolt is a little bit larger than the factory hole, you will need to drill it out a little bit before installation

a bright idea
they install easily, they look good, they're bright, they light the sides of the road / trail well, they are too bright for street use when other vehicles are around, the tabs on the brackets don't hold the bolt head in place when the bolt is tightened

I have a westin bullbar on the front of GMC Sierra 1500, with brackets on it from where the preivous owner had mounted his fog lights. Will these work for that? Is there a cheaper option?

Hello Jackson, KC HiLites 6 Inch Jeep Replacement Fog Light will work for your Westin Bull Bar. You can also try Pro Comp 6" lights EXP9004 for a less expensive option.

I am looking at installing this item on my 2004 Jeep Rubicon TJ. Is the connector compatible and what is the amperage issue the was mentioned in the response to the previous question that was asked?
Rob from Ottawa on
Thank you for the question. No, the you will need to spice the factory wiring hardness to install. Again, We suggest you do not use the factory switch with this light. Factory is only rated for a 35 watt. This light is 55 watts and draws more amperage.
