The JET Powr-Flo Mass Air Sensor delivers improved horsepower, torque and mileage from your vehicle by simply replacing the restrictive stock mass air sensor. The factory sensor not only is a major restrictive point in stock intake systems, but it also limits the full potential of aftermarket cold air intake systems.
I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado 5.3L V8 running a K&N FIPK air intake. I got this MAF because I wanted to add mileage and power at the same time. It really didn't do either one. It caused the engine to run so lean that the truck wouldn't run properly. It caused several DTC's about the engine running too lean. The only way I can keep the truck running is by using an IAT resistor mod, but that's not 100%. The truck still sputters and hesitates occasionally (especially when starting off). Now I'm getting EVEN WORSE gas mileage, most likely because the computer is having to overcompensate with fuel to match the excess air that's coming in.
The only reason I can think of for someone to buy this part is if they are already running way too rich for some reason, or if they have the means to dramatically increase fuel to the engine and they don't care about mileage.
