Bought this so I can upgrade to Kings on my new-to-me '19 Braaaptor. Gave me my drive modes back!
Surpassed my expectations! Great quality! These coil overs reduced body roll on road, and soak up the bumps off-road. I Should have upgraded sooner. Installation was straight forward, aside from needing to compress the spring slightly to get it to line up. I ended up dropping the lower control arm out, because my spring compressor wouldn't fit between the coils.
I upgraded my '19 Raptor to a Camburg Fox Elite setup and this device removed all the faults that occurred when I disconnected the LiveValve setup and restored my drive modes. Took about a minute to install with no problems so far.
I had these installed on my 2018 Tundra. I did have a slight issue at first. The springs were not lifting the truck.. Only got 1.5” of lift at the maximum 2”of thread preload. Icon sent 700lb springs to try. They raised it 4.25” at the maximum thread mark. So I’ll brush it off as a mistake. The ride is excellent! Way better than the 3” spacers I had before. The South Elgin, IL store did a great job.
Q: Will these coil overs work on a 2016 Chevy Tahoe PPV that has a Fabtech 4" lift, and will it raise it up 2 more inches? Answer this question
A: Hi Ryan, After reviewing the 4 inch Fabtech lift system and the Icon 2.5 VS Coilover shock kit, it's difficult to say 100%. Icon recommends upper control arms with Uni-Ball joints as opposed to standard ball joints, which is what is included with Fabtechs kit. Fabtech also uses a spacer for the factory front strut to extend its length. With the Icon coilovers having more travel ability I would be concerned with upper ball joint damage, so these coilover shocks do fit but additional wear and or ball joint failure would be a concern. Additionally Icon part number 71505 is for pick ups, you are looking for 71005 for SUVs. Contact customer service @ 877-474-4821 for more information
