I had this installed on my 88 Jeep Grand Wagoneer's AMC 360. It is absolutely the best upgrade I've made to the rig. Completely transformed the Jeep into something I want to drive every day. What else can you put on your Jeep that gives you more power AND better gas mileage? Also, I got the C.A.R.B. legal version to help me pass smog.

A great upgrade
The product was a great upgrade from the stock carburetor. It added lots of low end power and more pedal response to my 1983 CJ7 with a 258 cid. This is not an installation for a novice. A detailed wiring diagram was needed to eliminate non-essential wiring. Also, at times there is a hissing sound from the injectors. Overall, the product was a great upgrade and I am pleased with the increased performance and fuel efficiency. I would purchase this unit again.
I have a 91 wrangler and I am not concerned about California emissions. Which kit should I get and I am a diesel mechanic, How long should it take to install? Weekend project or longer.

My 85 straight six CJ7 5-speed is all stock except for headers, and has had problems passing smog (Calif) the past two times. I was told if I switch to fuel injection I would likely have no more problems. Has there been any response from buyers, or opinion from yourselves, regarding this as it relates to your street legal fuel injection setup?

Most people that swap over to fuel injection do not have issues with SMOG (CA). The Howell Fuel Injection Kit helps eliminate the typical issues known with carbureted engines. They are also extremely efficient. Thank you.
is it smog legal in California.

Classic Jeeps can now access the increased fuel economy and heightened performance of an ECM controlled fuel injection system without the Jeep owner accessing headaches while installing the upgrade.
