These lights were an excellent upgrade over the stock lights on my 2006 TJ. At $40/each, they are a much cheaper alternative to getting more usable light than something like a $600 LED conversion. It may not look as cool, but it functions just as well. Even with the stock bulbs that come in the housings, they are much better than the stock ones.
The pattern has a more defined upper cutoff point than a stock sealed beam bulb as well.
I've had them on my Jeep for about a year, and have not had any trouble with them being not street legal, even through a state vehicle inspection.

This is the only H4 headlamp I buy
Easy to install, better viability at night, able to uses stronger bulbs if desired, brings you out of the 70's as far as lighting.
I am installing these in my 3rd early Bronco. Good price and very serviceable. I do use a headlight relay kit to get full power out of them, instead of just the factory wiring and headlight switch.

Drastic performance improvement!
Coming from sealed beam to this alternative as my main headlight of 93 Miata, I can rate this as a top choice of mod I've done in years! Should have gotten these headlights much earlier as they cost minimal and gives me much better vision at night - safer driving! I can now see more clearly road in front of me as well as being able to see the sides of road when I make any turns at higher speed.
Get the EU version and not the DOT approved ones. Been driving with these (with stock Hella H3 bulbs) and never caught any attentions from cops.

Installed on my TJ in less than 15 minutes with a torx screwdriver. very noticeable difference in light dispersion. 100% better than stock headlights.

Highly recommended for upgrade
I use the Hella 7" round H4 to replace stock sealed head light, so I can upgrade to HID lights.

I can finely see where I'm going
It installs just like a regular sealed beam but don't touch the H4 glass bulb with bare fingers when you assemble it. The low beam pattern helps in town driving and the high beam lights the road almost a half mile. I will most likely install a 80/100 watt bulb later with a relay to get more distance
