The Goodyear Wrangler MTR With Kevlar tire has an asymmetrical tread design and the DuPont Kevlar reinforced sidewalls promises to be a contender in the hot MT tire market. Goodyear says using Kevlar increases sidewall toughness and puncture resistance by 35 percent. It also helps reinforce the sidewall for on-pavement driving. The asymmetrical tread design looks directional, but Goodyear says the tires are NOT directional, can run either way and have been tested that way. For those who don't like white lettering, the new MTR with Kevlar might disappoint, as many sizes will have white outline lettering. That means white outline letters out, ready to be scraped into white sidewalls by rocks. The larger sizes up to 42 inches, will have black lettering, so that will be fine. The silica tread compound enhances wet traction and the durometer seems to be between the old MTR and the sticky comp tires Goodyear has built. The rubber feels soft and supple when doing the old twist and fingernail tread test (scientific test procedure). The Goodyear MTR with Kevlar is a very competent tire and worthy descendent of the Wrangler MT and MTR.
5.0On my 4th set of the same tires across two vehicles for a re
I've always told myself I'd try a different set of tires next time I need new tires just to try something new. Every time that day comes I can't get myself to buy anything different. I use these tires on my offroad vehicles, and they hold up to my abuse constantly. Only time I've ever had a flat was when there was a sharp piece of rebar sticking out of a rock I was crawling over. No tire would have survived that though. There has been many times I thought for sure I'd slash a sidewall but it came out unscathed. Hard to beat that durability.
Great tires. Great price. Aggressive look yet surprisingly smooth ride.
4.0Missing Raised white lettering
Kind of unhappy because in the picture it shows there is raised white lettering and I was looking for that for the look on my K5 Blazer. My K5 Blazer is painted two-tone orange and white and the raised white letters what have you looked a lot better then just the black letters!! I have not been able to use the tires in snow yet but I would think they'll be fine. Only unhappy about the raise letters with these tires
2.0pulls left hard
Great tires, except for the fact they pull to the left. Had to swap out.
5.0I love these tires.
3rd set of these. Great traction on wet surfaces and even wear at 26psi on my 2010 JKU. I have punctured the sidewalls a couple times over the years. I have beadlocks and air down to a minimum of 10psi, single digits for snow. Daily driven and weekend warrior twice a month, I buy a new set every year and a half.

4.0Great for severe off-road driving.
This is my 3rd set of Mtr's. I have always had good performance from them. This set arrived with a manufacture date from over 4 years ago. Not happy about that.
5.0Excellent farm/haul tire
This is my 4th set of tires on several trucks. They are on a Ford F-250 SD diesel. This is a farm truck and I need a tire that will perform in mud, snow, sand, etc, but can still haul long distance. These are quieter than the Toyo MT and seem to last longer. By far, the best truck tire I have found. They can be difficult to find in the size I like, but are worth the effort and the price.
We have 10 but not all in the same warehouse. Not knowing which state you are in I can't say how close they are to you. If you call in or send another question with your state we can tell you what we have,

Answer this question
Thanks for the inquiry Jon, the Goodyear Tires 37x12.50R17LT, Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar part # GDY750578326 these are on national back order at this time.
will this size tire work with my stock wheels on a 2008 Jeep rubicon unlimited? it has approximately 3 inches of suspension lift.
Answer this question
They say the tire should be on a 8-10 inch wide wheel. Your Jeep has a 7.5 wide wheel from the factory. There are a large number of our customers running 12.50's on the stock wheels with no problems. This tire does have a D load range which is higher than the JK's need.
