G2 Master kits include all the parts that are needed to properly install a ring and pinion. These G2 kits include hard to find parts like a proper shim kit, replacement pinion nut , crush sleeve, pinion seal, pinion bearings, carrier bearings, ring gear bolts, silicone sealer, Loctite and gear marking compound. these are the parts that the auto parts store never seems to have or ever herd of.
I have an F-150 that had factory 3.55 gears. We upgraded to 4.10 gears to help with pulling our travel trailer. Haven't pulled the trailer yet but, based on the "seat of the pants" impression, I'm not expecting much of an improvment in towing. Other than running at higher RPM's and a slight gear whine, I can't really feel a difference in the vehicle or it's performance. One more note, when I purchased, I was told that the gear change would not affect the speedometer. Wrong!! 4wheel parts said I would have to purchase a programmer to correct this. This not what I expected from 4WP with a [$] purchase.I've had great success with 4WP with previous purchases of tires, wheels and air bags. Perhaps I should have gone with a steeper gear. Guess I'll never know. Hopefully, I will change my opinion when I hook up the trailer.
