4.0 Great Gas Mileage!!

Very nice to get the original "feel" back from the vehicle. Feels like it picks up better and has more low end power with the oversize tires now. And the gas mileage has improved!

Q: i have a 2008 ford f150 xl with 35" tires and level kit. I haul a 16' dump trailer occasionally. what would be the best gears to install. 4.56 or 4.88 Answer this question

A: Hello Ray It depends if you do much highway speed's. If you stay around 65-70 mph you could run the 488's if you like to drive faster then the 456's. The 488 will be better for towing but will hurt the top end and fuel mileage.

Q: Will this work with my 2011 ford f150 fx4 4x4? I have a 4 inch lift with 20 inch rims and 35 inch tires. I need something to improve my gas mileage and also regain some of the power I lost. Also, is there a ballpark price of these gears for the front and rear after installation? Thanks! Answer this question

A: Hi Ben The 4.10 gear ratio is a little week for the 35" tires i would recommend the 4.56 gear at a minimum 4.88 would be nice if you are mostly street driving. You will first need to count the cover bolts on the rear axle to see if there are 10 or 12 bolts. if you have the 10 bolts it is an 8.8" rear if you have 12 bolts it is a 9.75" rear The front gears will be the G/22-2088-456 http://jo.my/4atpvm The rear 10 Bolt 8.8" is the G/22-2013-456 http://jo.my/aa1txm and the 9.75" 12 bolt http://jo.my/rlvado You will have to contact your local store to get a labor quote. Thank You
