3.0 Decent Product

Good quality Timken Bearings. Could use more more carrier bearing shims, not much there for selection. The pinion seal provided did not fit my 05 Jeep Wrangler X with D44, it was to small of diameter, had to source it locally. The ring gear bolts were to small of diameter as well so I couldn't use those either.

4.0 Good product

This install kit is a good value. It has quality bearings and small parts. The kit gives you more than enough sealer and gear marking compound. The only problem I had with it was it didn't have thousandths shims which wasn't a problem because I had some from a previous install but, could hold up the project waiting for some to be shipped. I would recommend this kit to anyone as long as they order a pack extra shims to go with it.

Q: Will this fit my 05 TJ with rear D44? Answer this question

A: Used this kit for install on my 05 TJ X with rear D44. Ring gear bolts provided were to small of diameter and the pinion seal was to small of diameter for my rear D44 as well, everything else worked well, but additional carrier bearing shims would be great. Does include good quality Timken bearings.

A: If you have the Dana 44 then yes. The only issue I ran into was my D44 was shimmed outboard of the carrier bearings. This kit and most like it give you the smaller(cheaper) shims between the carrier & bearings. I had to order additional shims that are much thicker and thus more expensive. Bearings were all Timken and generally consider this a good option for R&P setup. Good Luck
