G2 Axle and Gear Minor Installation Kit are designed for the installer that is working on a newer vehicle that has no need to change the bearings. These kits include all the parts that are needed to properly install a ring and pinion. These G2 kits include hard to find parts like a proper shim kit, replacement pinion nut , crush sleeve, pinion seal, ring gear bolts, silicone sealer, Loctite and gear marking compound. these are the parts that the auto parts store never seems to have or ever herd of.

Q: so I have a 2011 unlimited rubicon with d44's and want to go to 5.13 gears do I need a minor or master kit and why? im ordering this for someone else to install btw. Answer this question
A: Hello The minor kits give you the parts that are not re-usable. (crush sleeve, pinion nut, ring gear bolts, pinion seal) plus the shims to set the gears up with. The master kit comes with the same plus the bearings. If the Jeep has over 30,000 mile we recommend using the master kit.

Q: I am installing new ring/pinion and a detroit true trac in a 2013 JK non rubi. The true trac has 7/16" holes - can I get 7/16" ring bolts in this kit or does it come with 1/2" bolts? Answer this question
A: Hi Chris The kit is packaged with 1/2" ring gear bolts. You need to get the ring gear bolts that will fit the ring gear . if you have a dual drilled ring gear you can special order the ring gear bolts in 7/16" separately or drill the true trac out to 1/2" thank you

Q: Hi I own a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 2009 ( not a rubicon) I recently got a similar kit for a friend, the Major one, and there was one bering that did not fit. I need to know what is the difference between these two products: Part Number: G/225-2053 Part Number: G/225-2052 BTW, last time JON GOLDSMITH helpded me, and he did a great job. Nir Answer this question
A: The G/2 25-2053 will be the correct kit for your Non Rubicon Dana 44 rearr. The Dana 44 Rubicon axle has larger axle shafts and requires larger carrier bearings and shims that the standard Dana 44 does not. http://jo.my/f9zkqf
