The classic sound of a Flowmaster chambered exhaust, our American Thunder Series features mufflers tuned to deliver more power, torque, throttle response and mileage. Best of all, these exhaust systems take sedate vehicles and delivers a deep aggressive tone.
The exhaust sounds great. The install took less than one hour. However, the removal of your old exhaust sucks. Take my advice: take your keep to a muffler shop and have them remove it. It’s not worth the time and effort to remove yourself. Reuse the rubber hangers. A couple of YouTube videos make the install easy.

Installed on 2014 JK Rubicon X
So I installed this on a 2014 JKRX about a month ago and I have been waiting to post a review. The sound and ground clearance is awesome! My mileage has dropped 2 - 4 MPG and I am not driving it with a heavy foot due to the better sound of this system over stock. The install took way too long as it seemed that I was the first person (according to Flowmaster tech support) which struggled with a two-door install. I ended up cutting 1.75" off of the first pipe connected to the stock y-pipe to make it fit. The 3/4" clearance recommended by flowmaster is very difficult to achieve over the rear sway bar and below the body at the rear axle

After having this system for a little over 6 months a few things have popped up. I ordered different tips and when I tried to install them the pipes were really pitted and had quite a bit of rust for being stainless steel. I must have got the aluminized steel version. After having to beat the exhaust clamps with a hammer and punch to get them apart I noticed the 2 individual pipes that come out of the muffler and go over the axle were contacting each other above the axle and rubbing quite badly and also the drivers side pipe was rubbing into the heat shield for my spare tire, there wasn't really any way to correct this since the bends in the pipes only allow for the system to go on one way. After trying to adjust those and keeping them from contacting and failing I got my tips put on and stood back to see how they looked, then noticed they weren't the same distance from the center of the truck, one side was about 3" further out than the other side. Tried "adjusting" that out and failed since, again, the bends dictate were they are and that's it. I had to use the straight pipes also since the 45s I had on would look ugly and didn't look right. I also noticed that the cross-over pipe was hanging really low, like half way down my pumpkin, any lower and I would have been afraid it would get ripped off when I go off-road with it. I'm going to contact Flowmaster and see if these are normal issues or I have a kit that isn't quite made for my truck.

Hardest part about putting this system on was getting the stock system off. Eventually had to chop it off with the sazall after trying for 2 hours to save it. Even with only 8k miles on a brand new truck it was still a major pain. System went on in about 30 minutes or so. We dry fit it all before tightening the clamps. Everything fit perfect, only thing that was weird was you had to cut down one section of pipe for your type of body style. Tips were perfectly level and came out in the exact same spot on each side. Sound is perfect for me. Nice and throaty down low and at idle with a raspy sound in the upper RPMs but is nice and quiet on the highway with just a little bit of drone if you are going over 65. This was installed on a '12 Ram Power Wagon and it fit with no issues.

This exhaust system is amazing on my 2003 5.3l chevy tahoe. It looks great, sounds great, and functions perfectly. For the price, you can't beat it. GREAT VALUE
