Firestone's most popular and comprehensive air helper spring line, Ride-Rite kits can be installed on most light trucks, motor-homes, RVs, SUVs and vans. Each application is specifically designed to maximize the vehicle's safe load-carrying capacity, stability, ride quality and brake effectiveness. Firestone Ride-Rite air helper springs provide load support through the use of air pressure that can be adjusted for changing loads. They enhance the ride by reducing inter-leaf friction. The system features individual inflation valves that allow for separate side-to-side or front-to-rear adjustment, which helps keep the vehicle level when carrying off-center loads and maintains ride quality under differing load conditions. Most Ride-Rite kits are no-drill systems, designed to use the vehicle's factory holes and mount between its frame and suspension. All the components are included in the kit for an easy installation that typically takes 1 to 2 hours. Kits come with a two-year limited warranty.
would not own a truck with out them
I tow a 6,500lbs toy hauler and a bass boat regularly. The ride with the toy hauler and no air springs is vastly different and I will never have a truck again with out these on it. Levels out the ride to eliminate the front end lift from the bouncing, makes cornering much stiffer and solid, and helps with the braking and tire wear. Cannot recommend more.
The base plate bracket was not long enough to accomodate the mounting position of the bag. After the installation had been completed, only 3/4 of the base of the bag actually rests on the base plate. This was not the quality that I had expected from the Ride Rite kit.

Q: I have a 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 & If I put the ride rite air springs can it raise my truck 3"? I need a little lift. Answer this question
A: Hello Mongoose, No, Air Helper Springs only aid the leaf springs from overload. They do not provide lift. If you need lift we recommend either a lift block/u-bolt kit of a complete lift replacement leaf spring. Thank you for the question.
