Fabtech Performance Lift Kits

Let me start out with I’m 55 and have had several 4x4s with many different lift kits in the past 3 decades.This kit is the best riding and HANDLING KIT I have ever used in my life. In fact my truck rides better on the road than any factory new truck that I’ve ever test drove period and yes with a 6 inch lift and sporting 35 inch tires 20 inch rims . And no I’m not affiliated with fabtech in any way. And no I’m not getting paid from them. I’m just So impressed with how it rides. And get this I don’t even take my truck off reading This review is based on road driving. Yes driving on the road. You would think my truck sways like a 90 story building in a wind storm. Not a bit. It holds corners better than stock with a 6 inch stealth lift kit. If you’re seriously looking for a quality lift kit look no further you just found it.

Had this lift system put on my 2004 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 double cab truck by professions in 2007. It was AWESOME! Made the truck look really good and gave it a good ride (as much as can be expected from a lifted truck) We added size 35" tires which made it tough looking, but rubbed a little in certain instances. We changed to Procomp 33" tires in 2010 and it was a lot better. Although the look and feel of this lift was great, over the years, it really wore out some of the gear shaft and u-joints of the truck. I wouldn't say we've had tons of problems with it, and we do use the truck for dog hunting, so we are pretty rough with it. But I would suggesting only adding this kit if you are handy enough yourself to fix the things that will go wrong as time wears on. Would I get this lift again? Probably because I like the look, but I don't believe the tacoma itself can handle it unless you have a way to adjust all the other things under the truck to make it work. We are just not mechanically inclined enough to do that, so it costs too much money. But 5 stars for quality and endurance to one who has definetly gotten our money out of this lift.

Ok since I did not install this kit myself, I have no clue about the difficulty level. BUT what I can tell you is that this lift kit was made for the Toyota Tundra yes, Tundra SR5 tow package crewmax (the one that towed the space shuttle) and the look of the kit installed is AMAZING!!! I get compliments all the time from other lifted truck owners and this is in the heart of TX....Truck Counrty. Also, I have hauled heavy loads (NOT RECOMMENDED) with the truck to include one full pallet of wet grass sod in excess of 2k lbs. I know the Tundra was built for this but i was not to sure about the kit, however it did pass the test (in my case)3 different times.
