Extang Xceed Tonneau Covers

The tonneau cover is really nice overall BUT... I've owned it for ONLY 28 days and the right latch is already broken. After opening the compartment where the latches are, I found a stripped screw hole and screw that looks to have been overtightened from the factory. With the constant opening of the bed cover and the tension from the wire on latch it eventually let loose. After opening the latch cover I noticed that the latches themselves are barely held on by two small self tapping screws. Not only this but the right side latch is not tightly held on to the top of the cover compared to the left side. My other issue about the latches is that for $1,100 I would except them to be all metal but they are plastic inside. Overall, the most integral part of the tonneau cover leaves A LOT to be desired. I wish I could return it.

Installation is easy and straight forward provided you follow the instructions. Overall quality seems good and it is easy to open and close. The fact that it provides a completely secure storage area when the tailgate is locked without having to lock the cover itself is a great feature as well.

On my tacoma doesn’t seal perfectly along one side but looks great and was pretty easy to install.

Looks great and fits like a glove and looks amazing.
