Q: I have a 68 camaro w 10 bolt rear end differential, posi traction unit with bad carrier, w 3.10 ratio, 8.5 in ring gear, 30 spline non c-clip axles, will the eaton 19559-010 limited slip carrier work in this Axle housing? Answer this question

A: Hello All of the Chevy 10 bolt rear axles had C-Clips so there has been some work done to yours. The 68 Camaro would of had an 8.2 10 bolt with 28 spline axles. So yours being an 8.5 with 30 spline it has to be an updated custom axle. The unit you asked will work with or without C-Clip axles.

Q: 2007 gmc 1500 4x4 stock. Unsure of gearing. But the eaton g80 went bad, broken spider gears. Will this be a good replacement. This truck is all stock and does not haul anything. Used just for daily driving. Thanks for your help. Answer this question

A: Hello That is a good strong unit for your truck but I like the Eaton True Trac better. It is a great unit off-road and on road. It is all gear driven and has a higher torque bias. It also runs a billet steel case instead of cast. Here is the part number if you want to look at it EAT 913A481 and install kit G/2 35-2022.
