Q: I tried to install this with my 4.56 gears, and it would not fit. Ring was too far over right. Do I need to get non-thick gears? My original gear was 3.73, and the 4.56s installed just fine. My Jeep is a 2013 Sport. Gears I have are from USA Standard Gear Answer this question

A: All JK rear Dana 44 Ring and Pinions are THICK gears. They must be installed on a 3.73 and numerically lower carrier regardless of the ratio being installed. You should have bought EAT913A589. The EAT913A590 is incorrect for the JK rear.
