Q: I have a 2010 toyota tacoma double cab LB prerunner with a 4.0 5sp auto and a TRD sport package. I don't know the rearend model but I know that I am running 3.73 gears. Could you point me in the right direction to see if this product is compatible for my truck or what I could get to increase traction? thanks William Answer this question

A: Hello William Your Tacoma has the 8.4 Toyota rear axle in it. There is the Eaton / Detroit locker part number EAT187sl199a. They are great off-road but very aggressive for street use. We also have the Eaton TrueTrac part number EAT913a541. The TrueTrac is a high torque bias limited slip. It is all gear driven with no clutches to wear out. Both units do not require any special fluids.
