I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 3" lift and the Dana 44 in front
I know iron does'nt disapate the heat as well but being in the front it will get more air flow on it, also it looks like it comes in 2 colors, black and bronse?
Will it work on my truck?
Answer this question
Yes it will fit fine on your front axle. It will get plenty of cooling while driving since normally you won't be in 4wd at high speeds.
This cover is for the Dana 44 found in the older Dodge 1500 pickup's. Dynatrac doesn't have a cover for the 11.5 as of yet. If you are doing trailer towing or heavy towing you would be better off with an aluminum cover. The iron covers hold all the heat in the aluminum will dissipate the heat.
Known for its brawny axle assemblies, Dynatrac got its start in the early 1990s when founder Jim McGean was building axles in his garage for off-road enthusiast friends. When others resorted to low quality parts from overseas, he took a stand and maintained production here in the states. Dynatrac's innovations include the high-clearance ProRock 60, Free-Spin hub conversion kits and heavy-duty DynaLoc locking hubs. Every axle manufactured undergoes 117 inspections during its assembly for quality assurance and the Huntington Beach, California-headquarted company has a deserving reputation as a manufacturer of high quality innovative components.
