The Dick Cepek Extreme Country has a proven compound with an extra tread depth that provides excellent traction and long life. The two-ply next generation High Tensile (HT) Body Ply Cord enhances sidewall strength without adding weight, rolling resistance, heat buildup or ride harshness. With a wide outer void and angled shoulder scallops the Extreme Country will provide the ultimate in off-road traction and self-cleaning ability. Tighter inner void surface area tread elements provide greater contact area for better handling and a quieter ride with improved cut and chip protection. The EXTREME COUNTRY is mud and snow (M+S) rated.
Great mud tire, you just don't want to go to the beach in soft sand, they will bury you. They are the quietest mud tire I have ever owed. If you like the roar of a mud tire you don't want to buy this tire.

Good tire barely any road noise. Good highway tires considering the meat

5.0Would buy again
They ride great. All kinds of traction. I tow a lot and they don’t walk around like other tires I’ve ran. I love these tires

5.0Great on F150
I have these on my Jeep TJ and in a slightly larger size on my F150. I had the Dick Cepek Fun Country II before these and they were great so I went with Cepek again.
The tires on the road are well behaved and surprising quiet. Having a A/T on both vehicles before I can not tell any difference going to this M/T with noise. The only thing both vehicles have is a sight vibration in certain road surfaces. Seems like the grooved concrete is the culprit. Not bad and doesn't wander, just a thought feeling in the steering. So other roads are vibration free.
I've taken both vehicles off road but nothing crazy to really say they were really tested. What I did do was done easy.
I did go with E rated tires on my truck and find on my truck 42psi is good.
On the Jeep I went with the regular rating and they seem to work best for me around 30psi. I started around 33psi but dropped them to 30 and have been happy there.

4.0Daily drive-able and still great off road.
Ive has these tires for about 2 months and 2,000 miles. So far they are no louder than the fun country’s I had just before these, or any other all terrain i’ve had before that. They perform decent on rock and trails, although they could be a bit softer for some more traction. They seem to be wearing well. The only issue I have is the sidewall seems to have gouged fairly easily. Although not all of the way through, it does scare me that I am able to see white in the scar. Regardless of this, i’m happy with the tires for the money spent and I would definitely buy them again or recommend them to anyone looking for a fairly aggressive mud tire that can be daily driven without issue.

5.0Square body wrecker
I haven’t driven on them much but they showed up on time and look good
Great tires, they look great and so far wearing very well
Is the tread reversible (bi-directional)? In other words, can they be mounted black side-wall facing out with the same tread performance?
For a 2007 Jeep JKU - 2.5 inch lift with 315 70R17 currently mounted

Hi, You should be able to mount the Dick Cepek LT245/75R16 Tire, Extreme Country either white wall out or black wall out without any performance degradation, so yes that would make them bi-directional
