The Dick Cepek Extreme Country has a proven compound with an extra tread depth that provides excellent traction and long life. The two-ply next generation High Tensile (HT) Body Ply Cord enhances sidewall strength without adding weight, rolling resistance, heat buildup or ride harshness. With a wide outer void and angled shoulder scallops the Extreme Country will provide the ultimate in off-road traction and self-cleaning ability. Tighter inner void surface area tread elements provide greater contact area for better handling and a quieter ride with improved cut and chip protection. The EXTREME COUNTRY is mud and snow (M+S) rated.
Rides very well on my 79’ f150 with pro comp bullet hole wheels
4.0Glad to have another set.
Tires showed up on time and in great condition. Planning to install these later this fall on my camping rig. Have used these in the past, a great tire on road and off road. Looking forward to having another set.
5.0225/85 on stock tacoma
The 225/85 fits perfectly on a stock gen 3 Tacoma
No rub at all....glad I picked this size
Bought a set of 35s for my Toyota Tacoma, they've taken all my abuse for the last two years and now they're on my wife's Land Cruiser and still going strong. Good tread wear for a MT tire

5.0Excellent larger tire for stock 3rd Gen Tacoma
Loving this tire so far on my 2017 Tacoma Off-Road. I did a ton of research, and the consensus is this is the largest tire that can go on stock wheels/suspension with no rubbing or issues. No issues for me! Louder than stock tires (it has that nice mud tire hum). Definitely a stiffer ride than stock, but you gain an inch or so of lift. Feels really solid, you can feel the tires gripping when moving slowly.
Great tire, this is my second set. Good traction in Michigan winter and quiet for a mud terrain

5.0Dick Cepek LT315/70R17 Tire, Extreme Country
Great tire. I have owned two sets on two different vehicles. Tread life is good along with the ride quality. Not very noisy on the highway.
5.0Dick Cepeks Extreme Country
Put these on my 2001 silverado 1500. No regrets. They look great but more importantly perform excellently in the snow. We've have a couple good snows and I haven't had a problem with traction at all. They also aren't overly loud on the highway for mud tires. You can hear them for sure but not bad. Definitely recommend these and will be buying another set when they wear out. Can't speak on wear patterns or longevity yet. I'll post in another year with that.
yes, you can run up to a 12.50 tire on a 7 inch rim. depends on usage and if you want to protect the rim edge by having more tire sticking out past rim edge. I ran 37x12.50x15 Goodyear Wranglers on a Ranger with zero issues, of course I had a lift and also fiberglass fenders and bed panels so they would fit.
No, the minimum rim width for this tire is 7.5".
Extreme Country tires don’t have any mileage warranty. If regular maintenance of tire rotations and front end alignment, tires should last between 30,000 to 35,000 miles. Sometimes more if the vehicle is a Jeep or 1/2 ton pickup.

Many factors can affect expected tread wear mileage like, off-road use, rock climbing, proper tire rotation & inflation, etc. We’ve heard from customers the Extreme Country tire can get between 30K to 40K.

Max tire pressure that the tire will handle will be molded into the sidewall. But you should check your drivers door sticker for proper tire pressure for the vehicle stock tire size.

Is the tread reversible (bi-directional)? In other words, can they be mounted black side-wall facing out with the same tread performance?
For a 2007 Jeep JKU - 2.5 inch lift with 315 70R17 currently mounted
Answer this question
Hi, You should be able to mount the Dick Cepek LT245/75R16 Tire, Extreme Country either white wall out or black wall out without any performance degradation, so yes that would make them bi-directional
