Owners of the 2007 and Newer Jeep Wrangler JK who add larger tires and wheels to their vehicles will find that mounting an oversize spare on the stock tire carrier presents a problem. They work great!
Changed factory tires & rims to larger size. Original bump stops no longer did their job. These work fine and were easy to trim to size and install. I had to trim some material away from the studs to get them to thread into factory holes, but no big deal.

Works Great with My 37's
These Tailgate Bumpstops work great for my application. I run a 37" tire with a 17" Dick Cepek Wheel with no issues! Keep in mind these are designed for a stock tire carrier!

Not all they are cracked up to be
Material too soft in my opinion. Threads needed to be shaved on 2 sides to get them to thread into holes with some semblance of being straight. They are adjustable which is good. Even with all the installation pains they seem to be working.

Unsuitable for Intended Application
I've read some 5 star ratings for this product on other sites. The reviews talked about "lifting", "Big tires look cool" and "instructions were great". Anyone who rates this product a 5 Star did not install themselves and most likely not concerned about long-term (Or short-term) durability. First let me tell you what you'll receive ... A box containing two high density foam spacers, each with a polymer threaded nub...Thats it. The "bump stops" can be "adjusted" easily by "trimming". HA! More like you can easily rip these stops with your bare hands. I am an ASE Certified Technician with several decades behind me. I carefully trimmed the first stop, inserted and started turning. The shaft will not thread as it is larger than the factory hole. So much for "no drilling". I put a little muscle into it and the stop tore in my hand. Next! I trimmed the second one and this time lubed the threads. I paid much closer attention and RIP! This seems like a great concept but for my JK Jeep Wrangler I will search elsewhere. I spent an hour trying to install and even repaired one with glue. I gave up and shredded them so not to be tempted. Don't waste your time or money. My bet is even if you did install these you'll be replacing soon enough down the road. You can tear them with very little effort with your bare hands!

NOT LONG ENOUGH!
Counld not find specs on these (dimmensions)on your website but ordered anyway. Turns out they are under 5" and are not long enough for my situation. 2008 Jeep Wrangler X with Procomp 35" on 17" wheels. Needs to be at least 6 3/4" to work right.

Don't waste your money
I bought these even after I read the reviews that they were a pain to install and were made from cheap foam instead of a rubber material. I would consider myself above average mechanically and figured I could get them to work out. After cutting them to length, I tried to "screw" them into the holes where the stockers came from. They will only go about half way in and that is it. They stick out crooked because of this. I think I will go back to the stock bumpstops and use rubber hose to extend our to the aftermarket wheel/tire combo.

Keeps Spare from Ratteling
These stops work great to stop the rattle from spares on custome rims that have an offset diffrent from stock. The porblem is they do not stay in place if the spare is not on. The plug that goes into the hole on the tale gat will not hold the stop. Needs to have a better design here.

Must have for aftermarket wheels
These bump stops greatly reduced the tailgate rattle with my 35" spare on the stock tire carrier. The only con is they were on back order for months.
