Customer bought 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Previous owner removed front drive shaft (bearing noise in front end). Front diff cover was removed and ring gear teeth eaten up. After further inspection a 3.73 rear end was installed. The OE ratio is 3.55. Will the 3.73 ring gear fit my front carrier?
Barton from Conroe, TX on
Yes the carrier will be different for the 3.73's you will need part number D/S 706008x
You will be able to use the spider gears out of your old carrier to save some cost.
