Get genuine performance from genuine Spicer. Spicer parts are designed, engineered, and manufactured to meet or exceed OE requirements because they are OE parts, ensuring a perfect fit with our full line of industry-leading axles. That’s why Spicer is the name you can trust for top performance and durability. Through heat treating and a slower quality scan rate, Dana is able to deliver a much more consistent and stronger Spicer axle shaft. In addition, the cold-formed rolled spline eliminates the need for machining, which can cause stress fractures and premature failures. And not only are Spicer axle shafts fatigue-tested to last, 100% of our front axle parts are ultrasonically tested, so we’re able to check for any internal cracks that regular magnetic testing can’t reach. We’re proud to claim a safety factor that’s high even by OE standards—because when it comes to the performance of your axles, there’s no room for compromise.
The same heat treating, slower quality scan rate and cold-formed rolled spline also enable Spicer to deliver a much more consistent and stronger rear axle shaft, with less of the machining that can lead to stress fractures and premature failure. In addition, Spicer rear axle shafts undergo the same fatigue testing and ultrasonic testing, delivering a safety factor that’s high even by OE standards.

great alternative to dealer part
[...] Also it was half the cost of the competitors, and was exactly the right part the first time. I have already begun to recommend 4 wheel parts to all my friends.
The needle bearings in the hub go bad and destroy the shaft. The shaft absolutely must be replaced when this happens or you are just wasting your time. Finding just the stub shaft from the dealer is almost impossible and they wanted $600 just to try to round one up for me. Absurd! Do not attempt to install the hubshaft seal on the axel yourself - you will ruin it and they are $50 a pop. (Ask me how I know!) I took my stub shafts to the dealer and had them use the special tool to install them. They only charged me $44. DO IT - it's worth the trip. Also, replace the axel hub lock assembly with either manual ones or the ones from Ford that work off the vacuum. The end of the shaft rides on needle bearings in the hub lock assembly and if they are bad or the hub is worn out it will STILL take out the needle bearings in the hub assembly and re-destroy your new shaft too.
perfect replacement
Great on my 99 F250
