Firstly, the customer service from 4WP is amazing. They were kind and understanding of my situation and helped to get this to me fast. I received the axle within two weeks. Take your time, and do it right. I had already lined up other modifications with this in mind. So, installation was a breeze. That being said, everything arrived in perfect working order, and everything went into place without issue. I did this by myself in my driveway in under 3 hours. This included taking the old axle out and going on a test drive. I got lucky with my alignment but still recommend taking yours in for a final check just to be sure. All in all, a great product and a great experience!
Had this installed the other day on my 2011 Wrangler sport 2dr with 82k miles on it. I Was getting 11.2 mpg avg running a 4 in lift with 35x12.5x17 Cooper evo MT. The plan at first was to re gear the front and rear 30 and 44 from 3.73 and go with 4.88 ring and pinion and install Detroit trutrac lockers. After many days of researching and pros and cons of everything out there on the market I decided after one guy’s posts on a Jeep forum he said why not while you’re rebuilding that Dana 30 with the miles you have on it you’re gonna be in those axles anyway you might as well replace the seals and ujoints ball joints and everything else so I came across the Dana ultimate 44 it comes with whatever gear you want comes with an elocker chromoly axle shafts oversized ball joints 1350 ujoints and extra support gussets stiff as a board this thing does not flex at all compared to the 30 stock axle and for $450 more and $595 to install it worth every penny no more bump steer. Went ahead and rebuilt the rear with 4.88 G2 ring and pinion Yukon master install kit Yukon axle seals. I’ve gone from avg 11.2 mpg to 17.9 mpg worth every penny.
Game changer... I’m now equipped with e-lockers and an upgraded axle.. Exactly sturdy ride
I have a 2012 2-door Wrangler that came with 3.21 gearing and a manual transmission. When it came to adding bigger tires those gears needed to go, and the front axle was not as strong as I would like. I looked at a bunch of different options and I came to the conclusion that this Dana option was the best value out there. After installing I am quite happy, the install kit was complete with pieces that I never would have thought to purchase. The axle was super complete, and really great quality. I would highly recommend this axle.
I was looking at upgrading my 2017 JKU Sport with a 3.5 inch lift and 35 inch tires to be able to fully utilize it again, and get my sixth gear back. After pricing everything out to build from the ground up I came to the conclusion that this was a steal. It comes ready to go, components are solid, true and reliable for a vehicle that is a daily driver and off-roads. Got my sixth gear back at some of my mpg. Only complaint is that you have to make sure you purchase the Dana splicer harness part # 10021771. I was not informed of this, so had to run it for two months with a useless front locker. The harness is plug and play, easy install on your own. Just wish I would have known it at time of install. Besides that this axle is a beast. Solid build and reliable while saving you money and time. I would recommend it.
I got this and installed with minor adjustments. Just had to drill a new hole for the spring clip bolt. Locker works on command and is supper reliable

A: I have a 2013 Sahara JLU with dana 30 and I swapped it to a dana Ultimate hd 44. I did not count the axle splines but I was able to use my stock hubs, rotors and brakes with no issues.

Q: Does this come with an electronic locker that is standard in Rubicon? Answer this question
A: There are two modles one with elocker and another without, however I bought the dana and it had a problem with the axles were flattened and still Emailing the company to help but the process is very slow so I am not very fond of Dana or 4wp at the moment can’t recommend it.

Dana Spicer products strive to meet the same high standards as OE parts, but in reality they are OE parts. The company's commitment to engineering and design innovation stretches back to 1904 when Dana was founded and began producing Spicer products. That legacy translates to quality, dependable axle components that keep Jeeps out on the trail and help daily drivers brave commutes with confidence. Driveshaft parts, universal joints, Dana axles and Spicer axle components are some of the Dana Spicer products that Jeep owners know they can count on. When you need to tighten up a sloppy differential, replace the clutches in your limited slip or replace a worn out yoke, call on Dana Spicer. Shop Dana Spicer Now
