Q: I have a 1995 Toyota Tacoma V6 4x4. Can the u-joints that connect the transmission and the u-joint that connects the differential the exact same ? Answer this question

A: Hello JT, The 1995 Tacoma V6 4X4 can have two different u-joints depending on what was put in each position. Some were built with A Toyota type driveshaft using the D/S5-1510X u-joints. This u-joint is an internal C clip design with a 1.142”diameter bearing cap and 2.047” between snap ring groves. Some Tacoma were built with a Spicer type driveshaft using the D/S5-1310X u-joint. The D/S5-1310X u-joint is an external snap ring type with a 1.0625” bearing cap diameter and a width of 3.219” Please let us know if you have any questions. 877-474-4821

Q: I have a Tom Woods Drive shaft for 2012 Jeep JKU wrangler, this is a direct replacement for the Tom Woods gold seal U joints.  I’m looking for a non-greaseable ujoint.  Answer this question

A: Tom Woods could have built their driveshaft for the JK with a 1310 series u-joint and that would most likely accept the D/S5-1310X. This is a sealed for life u-joint. It has external snap rings, it has 1.062 diameter bearing caps and is 3.219 inches wide. If he has the more heavy duty 1350 series driveshaft, then that would most likely use a D/S5-1350x. This is a sealed for life u-joint. It has external snap rings. It has 1.188 diameter bearing caps and is 3.625 inched wide.
