A: Jim- Thanks for asking. The difference between a Crown CRO12V and Crown CRO12V-ST is the "-ST" wiper motor part number includes a stainless steel wiper motor and a switch with wiring. The standard CRO12V comes with a painted motor and no switch or wiring.

A: Jim- Thanks for asking. I contacted Crown to see if they could tell me what the wiper motor gears were made out of. They said the motor / gearbox comes to them as a sealed unit so they did not have this information. They did say that they have had almost no warranty issues with this unit.
