Crown Automotive Steering Shaft Bushing

Q: Can you tell me where this bushing is intended to go? I am in the process of trying to fix my horn... and in doing so replaced my turn signal cancel cam... when pulling that part off...there was the remains of a crushed washer looking thing underneath the spring and flat washer. I am trying to determine if the item that is crushed is the top side of the bearing itself... or some kind of special washer that was sitting in there.... if i could attach a picture i would. Answer this question

Q: Is this the bushing just out from the firewall where it meets the steering u joint on the upper shaft?? Thank you, Tom Answer this question
