Advertised as coded but had no code. When I spoke with the company it turned out that not even the manufacturer knew what "coded" meant. They said the key was coded to that cylinder. A coded cylinder comes with a code that a dealership could use to make a new key should the last copy get lost. This shouldn't be advertised as a coded cylinder.

happy with the part, very quick to send
AS IN LIVE IN NEW ZEALAND. THE PART WAS VERY QUICK TO ARRIVE.
How do you get the old cylinder out if you do not have the old key? Also are there any tips you could give us to be able to install the new one. Thank you so much.

Thanks for asking. Without the original key you will need a locksmith to remove the original ignition cylinder as it needs to be turned to be removed. Once the old cylinder is out the new one slides right in.
