Are these used to take up the slack in between the c-clip and spider gears on the axle? I have a bit of play in mine I would like to tighten up. thanks
Keane from Hampstead, NC on
These are the shims to adjust the backlash between the ring and pinion they go under the carrier bearings. There is always some movement in and out on the c-clip axles that is normal. Not knowing how much yours are moving can't really say if the axles are worn or the pin they rub against is worn.

I HAVE A 1998 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE . WOULD THESE FIT OVER MY YOKE TO TAKE UP THE SLACK TO PPREVENT BANGING FROM FOWARD TO REVERSE
RONNIE G from BRONX N.Y. on
these are the shims for the carrier. The slack you have is most likely from worn axle splines and worn spider gears. There is nothing to shim on the yoke to get rid of slack.
